This photograph was very interesting to me because the photo was taken for a wedding, but the mother and the daughter is not smiling. Giving an ughh... expression on their faces, so what is happening on that day? I wonder maybe it was the weather, or even the daughter does not want to get marry. But, I think that there are grudges between the mother and the daughter in this picture because the frowns on the faces is not looking toward the camera. As the photograph is being taken, the expression is shown on the face of them.
Interesting way you interpeted this photo Mz. Chueng. I would have never thought above and beoynd like that about a photo such as this one. To me, they just seem to be taking a pciture as the sun is in their eyes. So that's why they are squinting. However, I also thought the taller woman could just be feeling unconfortable in the dress or event even. Although you did a great job, I honestly don't like the photo. It just seem too boring and centuries ago. Definitely something I wouldn't do.
