Post 29: 20th century American artist
This picture gives me a feeling of an artist need to be focus and into the art that she really love. To begin with, the artist drew a portrait. And this portrait came alive, as if the artist falling in love with her own painting. In addition, her effort into her art should be loved. So, I think that whatever art an artist do should always love what she had done. Lastly, as an artist, we all should think of being in the painting and love whatever the artwork comes out to be. Therefore, art should be honored by everyone, but most importantly, by the artist itself first.

Post 26: Who are you?
In the previous post, its artwork motivated me to believe that he or she is confused because his artwork is randomly put on. First, the artwork uses drips and drops of paint, which created a chaos tone. So, the painting method brings a chaos feeling to the art. Moreover, the different colors of paints bring each of the different emotions that he or she is experiencing in his or her life. In other words, the painting colors represent different type of emotions and feeling. Furthermore, the artist is like really randomly expressing his or her feelings because the layer and layers of different drips and drops of paint make me believe that the artist is very into his or her painting. So, the layers and layers of paint create a sense of random and focus. Therefore, the painting in POST 25 sets an environment of the artist's inner experience to a unknown world.

Post 24: My "Home"
This is a beautiful landscape that I would like to live there. To begin with, I would like to there because I will enjoy the peace and the nature around me. The environment is beautiful with the peaceful nature sense. Next, I would like to there because I know that I always loved the nature and the natural environment with trees, mountains/hills, etc. to live with. So, this place will be my ideal and loved surrounding to live in. Lastly, the picture clearly paints the sky and the environment in a clean air, where the city does not provide for us. So, the atmosphere of the picture attracted me to live in a place like this. Therefore, this picture connected my ideal "home", which I hope I can live there one day.

Post 23: a girl trapped on an island
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Is.
She was trapped in an island that supposedly called "her empire". She does not know what a family is other than the nature and the water around her. She loves the connection that she has with the nature and water. Is sometimes misses her family, but one day there was a boat sailing in the water while she was having a great time with the sea animals near her hut. As the boat is sailing toward her island, she was curious what is a boat, since she never seen one. So, swam toward the boat and got on it for an exploration. Before her exploration, the boat was scribbled with letters that she did not understood, but she stand up and pretended that she was surfing. She screamed across the body of water to ask the ownership of the boat, but after three times screaming, she paddles the boat to her island. As she settles down, she noticed a treasure box under the seat of the boat. She opened it, and found herself in the picture, or her twin, she thought. Is even found a crown and a blanket that she was loved. All of a sudden, Is was very confused and wanted to know where this came from. However, she placed the box where it was, and pretend nothing had happen, but she sees a ship screaming a princess name, which happen to be Is. Therefore, Is was a princess of some sort of king, but she left everything she had lived with in this tiny island because she believes that she will come back one day and remember the happiness of this island she called it, Is’ Land.

Post 20: Dadaism
Hannah Hoch created this picture of Dadaism. To me, it looks more like a collage, rather than a Dada movement artwork. First, the pieces of strips of picture is putted together with an optical circle in the middle. Even more, i think that each strip have a meaning or a symbol of the representational country. So, this connect my thoughts by the meaning of unifying the world, and have global peace. As to the picture, it each strip is holding on to another, where each other should help another to get have world peace. Lastly, the big circle in the middle me thought of a sun, because the circle brought unity where as the sun is a type of unity of the earth. So, the message may be the environmental concerns that are needed to be aware of because the picture is developed by the strips of magazine. Therefore, Hannah Hoch created this picture under a topic of Dada Movement because it concerns globally.

Post 19: How was the portrait project?
In this portrait project, I learned many new techniques. First, I learned how to draw a portrait by a gridding technique, but I did not use it to draw my portraits. Next, I started to paint my portraits, where I mixed paints. Throughout this project, I did not like the class time, where it was short because I did not have the time to finish one portrait. So, I hope that we can have a longer class time for art class. Lastly, I learned a new vocabulary word for art: tints. Tints are the opposite of shades, where I now know that tint is the lighter value of the shade. Therefore, this unit of portraits taught me many new skills and concepts.
Post 18: What color I see?
In this picture, it states the phrase “color theory” with all of its color on the color wheel. To begin with, this picture is developed in a pixel system that combines and categorizes the picture’s color. So, the colors of each picture is combined and categorized by colors that make unity of the color theory. Next, the colors in this image are positioned from warm colors in the middle to the cool colors, which are spread to the edges of the image. So, the red, orange, and yellow are placed in the middle, and then blue, purple, and green is place near the warm colors. Last, the left edge is categorized in the white color, and then the right edge is the natural colors. So, the white and natural colors are created of course naturally, but it is also the mixture of all of the colors on the color wheel. Therefore, the “color theory” is described on the color wheel, where it has the primary, secondary, warm, cool, complementary, and other relationship between colors.

Post 17: SPRITE- social
This painting shows a great social interaction because I believe that when it is a meal time, it a warm and unity of a family. To begin with, the painting subject matter is in a luxurious dining room. In this painting, it provided thorough details of the dining room. So, these details describe the luxury and fancy way of lifestyle of the family. Moreover, the lifestyle of the family would also teach the table manners because the nice and elegant family, of course taught the meaning of a family. So, when meal is served, the family needs to sit together in a table and have dinner. This social interaction reminds me of my family sitting together and having dinner. The foods are freshly cooked and hot, which gives a comfort of warmness in the body. So, dinner is a meal that should be cherished because it creates family’s unity and warmness by the whole family. Therefore, this painting is analyzed into the social category because family is a major topic under the social category.

Post 15: Os Gemeos
Os Gemeos is a street artist that has his own unique type of artwork. To begin with, this picture was painted by Mr. Gemeos. He drew this picture on a big building, which I think show unity because the picture is painted on one side of the building. Moreover, this building is old and maybe empty because the building’s windows were closed and board up. So, the painting took the building to a unique type because since the building is closed for some certain reasons, but the painting gave it a more attractive attention by its picture. Furthermore, the attraction is the part where Mr. Gemeos is trying to send his message. His message is referring to the public because as a street artist, he should know that whatever he draw or paint will be seen in the public. Therefore, Mr. Gemeos is a unique artist because he painted on a building that was initially closed down, but he painted his painting on the building, which is giving his message and attention to the public.

Post 13: Nostalgia
The lonely boat is sailing in a lonely glass of wine with the background a lonely boat. The sky and cloud are in a grayish and dull color which made me thought of depression and sadness. So, I thought of myself swimming. The loneliness swimming made me so lost. But, this also made me thought of the happiness of my family swimming together. So, this photo reminds me of many memories when I am swimming.
